Very casual place with simple interior. My dishes of French onion soup and Ceviche did not disappoint. Well made and tasty. The patio is right on the water with ample sitting. Huge bar area wraps around the space.
We went here before we got on the boat, sat outside and ate our food, looked over the water, excellent staff, very friendly staff, and the food was fantastic I definitely recommend this place.
Many draft beer choices as well as wine and liquor. Food was very good. We had the succulent wings and house brined corn beef rueben and recommend them. The Cole slaw was a hit.
The Waypoint is a regular stop of ours during the summer months when we can sit on their incomparable patio on the water. Everything on the menu is fantastic and you will be pleased with it. We decided to stop in a few weeks ago and have dinner inside, as late fall has arrived and the outdoor patio is closed. We were placed at a table near the bar. Near us was a large table full of obviously overserved patrons who were obnoxiously loud - so much so that we could not have a conversation at our own table. Other patrons were asking to be moved away from these folks. A good manager would have cut these people off, or at least asked them to tone it down. But no effort was made to control them. We ate quickly and left. Probably won't go back until the weather improves enough next year to go back to the outdoor patio.
It's fine to have a bar in a restaurant. But if you're going to let people get sloppy drunk and obnoxious, those will be the only people you will attract to your establishment.
We enjoyed fish plates in wonderful sun on the patio today .. entertained by white pelicans. The grilled walleye and salad and fried walleye and sweet potato fries were accompanied by a generous serving of creamy slaw. A Krombacher to wash it down was the touch it called for.
